Ontario is a very large province. You can drive for over 28 hours and still not leave it. This is larger than most countries. Why is it that it is implied that 36 Conservation Authorities are too many?
In order to protect Ontario and taxpayers for future generations, the conservation authorities should remain small and local. This will prevent billions of dollars in future emergency disaster relief from developers skipping meaningful local consultations.
Please reconsider merging conservation authorities as this would save money only in a short period of time but cost much much more long term.
