On what grounds is the provincial government making the decision that this amalgamation is in the best interest of the conservation lands of Ontario? What is the best practice science behind the decision? Why is it so important and imperative for this government to continue to strip local governments of their authorities over matters that pertains to their citizens and jurisdictions? I do not support the amalgamation of conservation authorities. The province must consult those most affected, First Nations, existing conservation authorities and local leaders to safeguard these valuable lands. Keep the power away from provincial hands
