I have comments and concerns with this plan, as opposed to support for the discussion points. Trying to consolidate our conservation authorities into regions sounds like it’d pose a risk of jobs to the workers currently in each authority. Why not continue to have the 36 authorities, but make better systems and working groups within each region to achieve the intended goals? With that being said, the one region includes Thunder Bay, Manitoulin, and Barrie, which are quite far apart- how would this region function without keeping local conservation authorities in place with their resources and knowledge of the land?
