I agree the lands around the Oakville GO station should be developed. However, I question the decision for such a large development in a small area. There is minimal green space for parks and use for families. The open spaces are designated”private open” spaces, what does this mean? I also question the decision to make only 34% of residences for families. Population growth needs to be focused on family housing. These are the people who are going to use the GO trains for work, be employed in the area and bring a tax base to the city.
I also have concerns with the high density and traffic. Trafalgar is already backed up doing commuting hours. More people near the GO station is going to make it worse
