Have we learned anything from the chaos in the Liberty village highrise hell? Oakville opposes the TOC because:
The MZOs would force the same extreme and reckless density on Midtown Oakville.
There is not enough below-market, supportive, family-sized or subsidized housing.
The condo market has collapsed and no longer supports high rise projects dominated by studios and one-bedroom units, which the TOC proposes.
The PC government proposes to ignore citizens and local democracy, despite Oakville’s full compliance with provincial policies and proven track record of growth and housing development.
The TOC fails to comply with Premier Ford’s Build Homes Faster agenda and will not deliver a single home before 2031.
We want missing middle and lowrise, in a walkable community.
