I agree totally with the following:
he Auditor General of Ontario has raised serious concerns (link) about how Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) are being used. If you share these concerns, act now!
"MZOs have been used to override municipal zoning"
“did not consistently assess whether re-zoning by MZO, as opposed to the municipal planning process, was needed”
“...some projects on the sites re-zoned with an MZO will not have access to servicing (e.g. water, wastewater)”
“...now face foreseeable and significant delays", “these delays beg the question why an MZO was used instead of the municipal planning process”
Please let democracy work where what the people want takes precedence over what developers and a few politicians, who do not live in Oakville, want to shove down our throats.
