While I voted for you and much of the platform that the PC party presented last year, I am concerned with details that I have been reading about Bill 66. I recognize that there are two sides to each story, but am concerned that by eliminating red tape put into place by the Liberals that there will be collateral damage with development being opened up in our protected greenspace. Even if Oakville as a town chooses not to move forward with this type of development, other municipalities will, and that will put pressure on surrounding councils to keep up in order to generate larger tax bases. Please support protection of the Green Belt at the provincial level and do not leave it to chance at the many municipal levels in the province.
