I am a father of 3 children…

I am a father of 3 children in Hamilton, ON and strongly object to this proposal. I object because the proposal is irresponsible, and because it does nothing to project our natural environment for their future. In fact, it is damaging to both our environment now and for the prospects of a healthy, cleaner natural environment in the future.

The basis of this proposal, in that it is a duplicate of federal regulations and an unnecessary burden to business - is completely false. The CELA has gone into great detail to explain this fallacy and the link to these details is attached. It is shameful that the government wants to relax any regulations on pollution, when we actually need more. Of course, business is important. Businesses adapt, because Ontarian's are flexible and resourceful. The current Ontario government's priorities are short-sighted and selfish. There is no value placed on the environment in which we live. If we do not protect it, clean it and maintain it, it will not support us. The worst effects will not be experienced the government officials making this decision. They will be long gone as our children pay the price for their decisions.
