The Regulation Proposal is a good "idea", but it creates more work for the municipality and requires us to spend more dollars that we don't have! The government is constantly added more and more regulations to municipalities, which are not economically feasible and the staff does not have the time nor the resources to be compliant with yet another regulation. Provincial downloading needs to come to an end, unless the province is willing to provide the extra staff and funding to develop and implement these policies. I'm not taking about a "one time" funding (which would be beneficial if nothing else); but a development of financial resource program from the province to accommodate the added municipal workload. (A resource program that is not based on a "per capita" formula as smaller municipalities are subject to the same regulations as every other Ontario municipality; an equal distribution of funding to all Ontario municipalities)
