It is so easy for some to simply say, yeah, there might be a problem with a certain species but that what I’m doing or don’t know won’t really harm them or have an impact and so it’s okay. But NO, it’s not okay. For if far too many take that attitude, then the damage will be done and not reversed. We have an obligation to our wildlife, our province, or country and world, to ensure that all it’s inhabitants are protected to allow them to not only survive, but be sustainable. Watering down a protection act or making an exception, is a slippery slope that we could probably not recover from.
