Ontario's endangered species should not be treated as commodities and/ or put at risk for the sake of perceived business efficiencies. The disruption and extinction of species fundamentally disrupt trophic and other ecologic interactions which have lasting and meaningful impacts on the productivity and health of our environments. The time for selfish prioritization of business has passed. The future of our children, our country, and our Earth is in danger. Endangered and imperilled species should be the primary concern for any government that expects there to be a future for its people.
