I currently support nuclear power because the reason not enough usable energy services to meet the current demand. Although I supported I do not support the fact that we did not have a nuclear emergency plan in Ontario. We should at least match this practice set by Switzerland which has a level VII nuclear accident plan set up by the INES. Many of our nuclear reactors are in the Great Lakes region and we should be able to protect that drinking water in case there is an accident at any of these nuclear reactors.
These plans should be adapted to meet the needs of the public and vulnerable communities, like hospital patients and the elderly. Ontario should expand emergency planning areas and evacuation zone.
