Please develop a viable plan for nuclear disaster in Ontario.
Nuclear disaster is not a science fiction scenario. As with any complex technology, even a small technical failure can be compounded by human errors to cascade into catastrophe. Anyone who thinks this is unlikely should read "Normal Accidents" by Charles Perrow.
We have 3 large nuclear power facilities in Ontario. Regardless of the likelihood of disaster, the impacts of a major nuclear accident would be catastrophic for Ontarians and residents of neighbouring states. Based simply on those impacts, I expect my government to spend my tax dollars on a viable plan for containing and mitigating the impacts of a critical nuclear incident should one occur at any of those nuclear plants.
