In regard to changes to the Ontario Heritage Act:
The notification of people whose property is on the Heritage list in municipalities will give developers opportunity to appeal. this could result in the loss of heritage in Ontario which should be protected especially where you have a Council which is pro-development. This does not give heritage an even playing field.
Some of these times in the new legislation are unreasonable. By the time applications etc. go through staff, Heritage Board, Council and possible appeals to Council most of these proposed times would be long gone.
