There is no valid reason why Eastern Fields Wind Power Project should not be held to the current
IWT noise regulations. They had lots of warning that the current regulations would be in place by
the time Eastern Fields would commence construction. Also, as of the final reports submission, RES
had still not chosen its turbines make and model, and it also had not chosen the 9 turbine sites
from the original 14 possible sites, indicating that their plans are not yet firm. The
transitional rules for sound are not necessary and Eastern Fields should have no choice but to
follow the current regulations.
