I strongly believe that each and every community must retain the ability to comment directly on the future of their immediate environs. As a member of Architectural Conservancy Ontario (ACO) I have witnessed the remarkable efforts by many local chapters, groups and concerned individuals in preserving the heritage of their communities.

The initiatives presented by political groups, business and industry need to be balanced by the concerns of the community throughout the process of any development or redevelopment efforts.

I trust the Ontario provincial government will acknowledge and respect the great strides that ACO and other like-minded associations have accomplished over the decades to preserve both the architectural and social integrity of unique Ontario communities.
