I would like to see a review of the role of Conservation Ontario and all of the 36 conservation authorities.
Do we really need this much overhead?
Conservation authorities are unique to Ontario. Is it possible to reduce or replace the red page and bureaucracy with a model that is effective in providing advice to municipalities but without the overhead.
The work of drainage engineers and conservation authorities is at odds. We need more drainage and less creation of wetlands and floodplains.
