I support an extension to the section 55 ESA regulation. My job and many others in the forest industry in Northern Ontario will be lost or seriously jeopardy with the implementation of the section 55 regulation in the ESA. I support the establishment of a panel of multi stakeholders, these experts could supply critical oversight and input as they find a workable solution for the Endangered species act. This panel should be struck immediately after the review period and granted 5 years to complete their vital work. This study may prevent the total devastation to the economy of the majority of the population in Northern Ontario. This includes first nations, forestry workers, companies and contractors that rely on this sustainable industry for regular employment.
