the proposed changes to legislation in Bill 108 signal that there will be significant impacts on: the City's finances; the ability to secure parkland; the capacity to provide community facilities; and on the evaluation of development applications that would afford appropriate opportunities for public
consultation and conservation of heritage resources.
Municipalities require other means to obtain the items listed above through proper legislation. Robbing municipalities of the ability to secure important public elements from development is not the way to help the people of Ontario.
