We have rules in place to protect our environment, removing these rules will have serious repercussions! I grew up on the escarpment in Stoney Creek where quarries we’re able to dig as deep as they wanted. The outcome, we lost our water supply even though we were almost 9 km away from the quarry! We, tax payers, had no rights and now no water. It lowered land value costs, lowered tax revenue, new wells had to be dug, undrinkable sources were caused, animosity was caused and great farm land was taken away! Now, 40 years later and the same mistakes are going to take place. Have none of you learned from past history? Do you just ignore the stats? And lastly, do you even care about the people who are affected?
