In our country the consumption of nonrenewable resources for single-use plastic water bottles and the amount of waste generated is profoundly unsustainable, negatively impacting the local water tables in the surroundings of bottled water processing sites. Many of those who profit off of this (exploitive) industry are severely detached from the impacts they induce upon the local communities. The environmental degradation of the local water supplies, due to water bottling practices, harms the local ecosystems by depleting and polluting the associated watersheds. (such as unlawfully diminishing an inland lake or stream and draining water from a wetland) The depletion and pollution of these watersheds is a widespread problem causing pervasive deficiencies in these ecosystems and also has the potential to adversely affect large segments of the public (in both finance and social sectors). Leaving this problem unattended puts the watersheds in immediate jeopardy. Especially in instances where the facilities are in noncompliance with environmental prerequisites put in place to sustain healthy waterways... this issue requires prompt corrective action or the issue will continue to cause, serious injury, harm, impairment, or destruction to the aquatic ecosystems. As a citizen, taxpayer, and registered voter I urge you to please take this proposal to heart and ensure the safety of our communities for years to come.
