Good to know that the Province appears to be keenly aware of the importance of protecting our fresh water resource. Canada has 20% of the world's resource and it will be taken from us if a diligent response to the matter is not taken soon.
I...
1. Endorse the extension while a full review is taking place
2. Recommend ending the bottled water industry in the Province at the end of the review
3. Adopt Province-wide legislation (if the Federal Liberals do not act) to protect our water for present and future residents from corporate greed (Canadian or International).
. “This way, we can be confident our programs, policies and science protect vital water resources while keeping Ontario open for business.” The afore-stated quote implies water ought to be for sale and a profit-making resource. WRONG THINKING. Countries like Nigeria, Pakistan and others have MINISTERS OF WATER....That fact alone should make us very, very nervous...and obviates the need to appreciate the importance of this resource to us!
