Let's tell it like it is…

Let's tell it like it is. This is a death watch geared towards elimination of these cottages. I no longer have a direct connection to this area however i have a historical link and i find that this link is meaningful. We have just passed Remembrance Day and I have never been to war but i have a feeling of respect and honour that is very important to me. These two situations may seem disimiliar but the respect that a person feels for the past is the fabric of their being.

These cottages have more than the obvious historical aspect. They have been the fabric of thousands of peoples lives. The people who have been associated with these cottages may have moved on but the good memories remain and it is important to them and all of us to have some foundation to our lives with good links to the past.

All aspects of this park have coexisted from day one and this can easily continue. To remove the cottages would be a mistake and a tragic slam at all aspects of history.

As life moves rapidly we use catch phrases like "moving forward" and "raising the bar".

It is important that we remember we are allowed to say these things because we all have a foundation of history.

Don't let anyone destroy your history.
