Regarding Stewardship and Sustainability; I would encourage support of organizations like the Ontario Woodlot Association and Forests Ontario. These organizations encourage woodlot owners to participate in stewardship which will provide a sustainable supply of wood products to the mills and logging contractors throughout southern Ontario. What a great value to mobilize so many landowners volunteering on their own woodlots to feed this supply chain to wood-based industries. Imagine the cost if we had to have so many civil servants managing an equal area of forests on crown land! However, these landowners need some form of organization and resource sharing. The Ontario Woodlot Association and Forests Ontario provide that leadership.
