These changes put small rural municipalities at a distinct disadvantage. We have many libraries at the moment that have little to no usage. Same as the many ball fields not being used. To add on to new growth would push people away from rural areas where we desperately need small growth. Our township had collected a development charge for over 10 years and had never spent a dime of this money. Why invest in parks with no usage. As for long term care shouldn't this burden be from the Province itself from the continuous taxes that are collected. Why should only new growth situations take the hit. I fully and completely disagree with these fees.
