I strongly oppose approval of anaerobic digesters at 633 Coronation Drive for the following reasons:
1. Hazardous impact on the two schools almost directly north from odours and chemical emissions
2. Hazardous impact on established community directly north, from odours and chemical emissions
3. This community already bears the negative impact of odours from the nearby sewage treatment plant
4. The heavy truck traffic that would be necessary, does not belong on established residential streets as it brings increased noise, fumes from contents, exhaust as well as danger to cyclists, pedestrians, shoppers, and especially children. The streets running south from the 401(Port Union Rd. and Manse Road), A’s well as Lawrence Avenue, which would be used by incoming and outgoing trucks provide access to shopping, schools, community centres, and parks, as well as homes. Many children, pedestrians and cyclists using these facilities would be put at risk.
5. This type of facility should be established in an area that is not heavily residential, where the truck traffic, the fumes, and emissions would not impact a well established residential community.
