I love the idea of the Organics Processing Centre and Anaerobic Digester. However the proposed site has me quite concerned. How we ended up with Chemical Alley situated less than a quarter of a mile from our homes is beyond me and to add the Processing Centre to that section of Coronation Dr. seems like an invitation for disaster. It has been explained that there will be 100 trucks up and down Beechgrove in a 24 hour period. So every 15 minutes a truck carrying waste material will drive through our neighbourhood, day and night. And no one can guarantee that the processing plant will be odourless. We are already subject to the smells from the existing factories.
There is property available at Morningside and 401, Milner and Auto Mart. Right off the 401 ramp, no houses, no chance for disaster. Has anyone suggested that site? Please consider an alternative to Coronation Dr.
