I am an avid hunter in northwestern Ontario as many other people . I also guide non residents hunters in wild management area 10 and have been very successful at it. I’m in the bush all the time and have seen the decrease in deer herds due to our harsh winters. My main concern is that baiting of deer still be allowed to assist the deer through our harsh winters in northwestern Ontario. Since 2008 I have been putting out thousand of pounds of feed for the deer and mineral in the spring-which I have witnessed that help the deer in the fall before going into the brutal winters. If baiting is cut out we as outfitters will see a decrease in non resident hunters as there is allot of farm land in our area that supply the deer with food. I have been hunting since the age of 16 and I am now 53 and I have yet to see any sign of CWD in our area . As for the CWD in Quebec that was from deer that were in a enclosed area. Thanks for listening .
