This is a long-overdue initiative that must come to fruition as soon as possible. The prime agricultural land is the prime target for the development industry because it has been cleared and is generally flat, making it the most economically advantageous to develop. However, once removed from agriculture, this land will never be put back into food production. Therefore, the land must be protected immediately to stop this constant urban sprawl that is removing the land from agri-production.

Please hold firm to this initiative and do not allow the development industry and political interference to 'water down' your efforts to protect all of the prime agricultural land.
