I strongly disagree with any proposed changes to MZOs. Your government has used MZOs to blatantly ignore environmental regulations and destroy important environmental features of our province. The municipality should have autonomy over their land and under NO circumstance should the province take precedence. You are not the municipality and you do not understand their needs. Protecting the environment is essential at all costs and the only acceptable changes to MZOs would be their complete removal. Your role as the province is to enforce environmental regulations, not to bulldoze the needs and wants of municipalities, nor is it to make decisions about municipal land.
Continuing to blatantly ignoring the needs of your residents and using 'loopholes' to push the agenda of your developers is not okay and will not be looked favourably upon by residents in the coming election.
