Conservation should be made a department of the Regional Government Planning departments. This
would establish who is in charge and normalize conservation decisions. The Region could then delegate
a conservation officer for each municipality to enforce the Conservation Act.
The Conservation Act Departments, across the Province were enacted by the Ontario Government and
now call themselves the Conservation "Authority" with the right to overule the government that
appointed them, which is ridiculous. To insure their power over everyone including Local,Regional,and
Provincial Government they have banded together and hired a full team of lawyers to enforce their
LPAT demands,delaying, or blocking expressways,local roads, bridges, services, homes, etc.,etc.,etc.,
