As a bow hunter and a controlled shotgun hunter in the same WMU. I question whether these changes are going to flood the controlled hunt draws with bow hunters trying to gain an extra week Or will they not be tied together? I know many people who’s deer season consists of only hunting 6 days during there controlled hunt week. Where as us bowhunters Already have a three month season minus a couple weeks during the controlled hunting seasons. So flooding the draw system will definitely end up ruining lots of people’s deer season if they don’t bow hunt. I think the system is better being broken up and more inclusive for everyone no matter your hunting styles. Combining the seasons is just going to ruin people’s hunting chances. Controlled season hunters only get 6 or 7days (depending on Sunday hunting in the municipality) Bow hunters already get 70+ days. Either make gun season the same length as bow season or keep them divided
