Mineral development projects are not included in the proposed comprehensive EA projects regulation. Ontario has a long history of regulating mineral development and has a deep understanding of the nature and type of environmental effects that mineral development can potentially create in some circumstances, as well as how to manage such potential effects.

What cowardly and disgusting inaction by the ministry.
Ontario has a long history of mines that have poisoned the environment and the people who live around it.
The only things mineral development has a deep understanding of is profit and destroying everyone and everything that lives around them.
Industry has no idea how to manage environmental issues and will always take the shortest route to profit, which is why regulations are required.
And now the ministry is allowing less regulation, how pathetic, how weak minded.
