Cormorants need to be made at home at Darlington Provincial Park, and this proposal doesn't help with that and is therefore heading in the wrong direction.

Given that the cormorant is a magnificent native bird, I would like to know how Darlington Provincial Park is trying to attract them to their park.

Being worried and pro-active about a wildlife that tends to grow very fast and in large numbers is like being afraid that there maybe too many flowers blossoming on a cherry tree in the spring and wondering which steps might be taken to get this under control. Get a grip.

I have heard rumors that it's the Duck Hunters group that is spearheading this. I want my park to be a refuge for all native species. I don't understand the need to react to a situation that hasn't occurred yet, and according to what I have read on the subject, no cormorants have nested at DPP last year. I would like to know how many cormorants you would be willing to accommodate and where they could nest in the park.
