1. Timeline is too limited to allow for expert oversight and analysis of these wide ranging and potentially harmful regulatory changes for the beneficial use of excess soil at pits and quarries in Ontario, ERO 019-4801 should be extended another 60 days.
2. The financial burden should be the responsibility of the company and monitoring and enforcement the role of the MDMNRF not municipalities and taxpayers.
3.There is potential for contamination of drinking water in surrounding communities and also adjacent wetlands and dependent ecosystem could be compromised by importing soils which may not be compatible biologically.
