This pause must not happen. I strongly oppose it.

It is essential that the regulation remain in effect to protect Ontarians from the kinds of abuses that were taking place before it was implemented. It is in place because there was good reason to have such regulation.

I gather the sector was already given a number of years to prepare. Since many contractors and businesses have already complied and have been working to the new rules, it would be extremely unfair to them to now call a pause. If they could comprehend the regulation and find ways to comply, so can the rest.

Ontarians should not be required to take the consequences of the government's catering to operators who have dragged their feet on this issue.
