I am disappointed to see this change pushed through with so minimal an effort at addressing the reason why the Greenbelt has historically been maintained - environmental protection of sensitive areas including watershed management. The report does little to assuage my concerns over the stripping of these lands, including no mention of required density for these developments. Huge areas taken up by more suburbs are not a valid reason to break open the Greenbelt, and I'm disappointed in this government. Where are the days when the Conservatives protected our land for the future?
