A gross misuse of capital and real estate. The greenbelt does not need to be torn down and developed for more single family dwelling. The urban sprawl needs to be abandoned in favour of denser and more efficient combination residential areas.
It's a complete waste of time to continue building our cities like it's still the 1950's. The infrastructure being car-centric needs to be a thing of the past. Public transit needs drastic improvements and Canada, Ontario especially, needs to shift to progressive and flexible to help support all citizens in times of wildly increasing costs.
Cars are great, but not everyone can afford one, and we shouldn't need one just to get by in our day to day life.
