Cancelling the existing cap and trade policy is a reckless and damaging decision. The decision endangers my children and grandchildren and future generations. It is difficult to believe that there is anyone who does not both except the reality of climate change and understand that strong measures implemented now are essential to at least mitigate the negative impact in the future. You have nothing whatever of equal force and impact with which to replace it.

I oppose with equal passion your decision to challenge the federal government's determination to begin to address climate change. It is difficult to believe that any serious and mature individual in your Cabinet or your party really believes that this is a responsible action.
