I am outraged by Doug Ford's plans for the Greenbelt. Besides this being an environmental catastrophe, the Greenbelt is also a significant source of Food and drinking water for this province. This area is protected for a reason and Ford is in no way hiding that both the development of the greenbelt and the highway are not in the best interest of Ontarians, they are only beneficial to his donors - who happen to be the developers that will benefit from these amendments. This is corruption, and the protection of this area is critical. Climate Change, the obliteration of protected species, and food insecurity are all real issues we are facing. Ford can not be allowed to make sweeping changes for his own financial and political gain. Building single-family, 3000sq ft "McMansions" on this land does not help with housing "immigrants," and does not help alleviate our housing crises in any way. This is completely unacceptable.
