I do not believe we need more low density housing. We need to build denser cities that are more bike-able and can have better more efficient transit. I also think it's not wise to remove natural areas that help with things like flood mitigation and clean our as, especially as weather gets worse due to climate change. Better solutions in involve up-zoning within cities to allow more increased density. I am also concerned about the corruption seen in this process, with donors to the PCs having bought up some of these lands years ago and now stand to have financial gain by this change in land use policy. These issues need to be addressed better to maintain your trust with the public.
