I am currently a part of the Ojibway Prairie Reptile Recovery team working with Massasaugas in the Ojibway subpopulation and agree that if our recovery goals are to be met, population augmentation actions such as translocation are necessary in order to maintain current distributions. I agree with the methods outlined in the draft of the Government Response Statement. If this population is to recover to a sustainable level it requires habitat protection and connectivity as well as the introduction of new individuals.
