I have been observing the ROP process over the past few years.
There is a proposal in place to provide a Go Station for the regional community that has been in the works for quite some time nowunder the Market Driven Prog ram ,which was generated between a local landowner and the TOD authorities. These efforts appear to have been stalled and blocked as a result of the ROP process, completely ignoring the needs of the community for much needed rail transpotation and the associated housing that it could potentially provide. The ROP process seems to be oblivious to the needs of the community while ignoring and rejecting the offer of the local land owner to build a free Go Station for the community to the point of removing the land owners property from the ROP when it had been included as an obvious benefit to the community based on the then current LNA. This designation was removed in favour of a property from which no such request was made and which could not provide any transit benefit nor any housing benefit.
I sincerely hope that this misshandling of community interests can be remedied and that provisions can be put in place that will prevent such future misshandling.
