Please leave the Region of Waterloo’s official plan intact and approve the exact wording and sustainability concepts that received such strong support from the Region’s municipalities. Waterloo Region has a bold, visionary plan that is important to keep as is.

Critical transportation infrastructure - Breslau Go Station appears missing from the submission. This was listed as provincial priority. The area around the Greenhouse Road and Kramp Road to Shantz Station should be density housing as per the 800 meters radius policy around a Go Station. Read more

The goal of transit and commuting, linking Toronto to Waterloo is not seen in this proposal. While local transit for LRT and densities around the stations seems balanced, the transit mostly used by employees from Toronto to Waterloo and vice versa is heavily missing and unaccounted for. Read more
