I think it’s disgraceful…

I think it’s disgraceful that the new PC government in Ontario is cancelling all of the green energy and climate change fighting programs, including the cap and trade program, put in place by the previous government. This PC government has no plan to address climate change and in fact is doing everything it can to sabotage the federal government’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions through a carbon pricing plan.

The earth’s temperature is rising at an unprecedented rate and Ontario is shamefully refusing to join other nations around the world that are working to slow down this increase.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has just released a Special Report on Global Warning and as the CBC has reported:

“Preventing an extra single degree of heat could make a life-or-death difference in the next few decades for multitudes of people and ecosystems on this fast-warming planet, an international panel of scientists reported Sunday. But they provide little hope the world will rise to the challenge.”

Clearly, Ontario is not rising to the challenge under this government.
