Scrapping the cap-and-trade…

Scrapping the cap-and-trade program without having a clear and ambitious climate change plan ready to take its place is simply not responsible. If you have problems with the current program, the solution is not to rewind years of work and start over. We simply don't have any time to waste on this issue. The cap-and-trade program provides both incentives to lower emissions and funding for other green energy programs, both of which are vital if we are to meet important emission reduction targets. Is it a perfect program? Of course not. But let's continue to make improvements to our climate change plans and policies rather than moving backwards. Current and future generations are counting on you to not sign their futures away. Lives are at stake. Please do the right thing.
