This company should definetly NOT be allowed to reopen in this location. One person has already lost his life - DO NOT put many more people in danger. Residents were lucky that the explosion that happened in 2023 did not cause more deaths, that being said, we don't really know the long term effects that the chemical explosion is going to have. The safety risk to people and the environment of this type of facility to be within 200+ metres of residential homes is astrinomical and should not be allow. Is the ERO of Ontario prepared to take responsiblity for any future deaths and environment impact via a lawsuit!!!
There are currently 84 Fire Prevention related charges for multiple fire violations, against the directors & Ssonix, tell me how can they be able to continue to operate!!!
The MOE, Ministry of Labour and the Fire Marshal of Ontario reports are still pending so the impact that this has had on the community could be even larger that we expect.
DO NOT ALLOW SSONIX TO REOPEN - IN THIS COMMUNITY, OR ANY COMMUNITY!!!
