We are very concerned about giving NEC greater compliance tools to regulate non compliant development such as a officer. Is this really a problem in the NEC area or is this the result of halton conservation having its regulatory authority removed ? This is a complete over reach that already is covered via detailed bylaws and a Halton police force. Who will monitor and train such compliant officers ? Will they take extensive training through the police academy? Will they carry a gun ? Will they trespass without cause? This is a very small concern in the NEC area and there are statistics available that document 4 or 5 cases of non compliance in the NEC area each year. Does this justify taxpayers money being spent on such a program when there is modern aerial photography available?
