I would like to protest the proposed changes to remove the public's ability to appeal the adoption or amendment of Official Plans and Zoning By-Laws to the Tribunal. By removing the publics ability to comment this is taking away the ability to function cohesively as one community and will reduce the transparency of decisions made. This will furthermore show that the current government wishes to perform in a manner that does not have any care or interest in what their people have to say and will not learn from their community that live and work here. The government is in place to represent and help the people who inhabit their province. This shows the exact opposite. I have grave concern for communities, the environment and the future of our next generations if this right is removed from the people of Ontario.
