I think this proposal to build such high density buildings in such a small space, without doing a proper impact study and not taking into consideration the additional demands on the already overtaxed supporting infrastructure, such as water, sewage, electricity, accesibility, is a recipe for disaster.
If you take into account, for example, the additional vehicles that will be added by the future occupants of those units, the increased traffic, and the wear and tear on the local roadways will create additional spending that the municipality has proven in the past is not willing to spend, resulting in worsened road conditions. This proposal has all the right elements to damage the value of the existing properties in the area, affecting the value of local home owners, and will create a massive exodus of people out of the city of Woodbridge, which has already been seen in other parts south of the 407, when such high-rise developments were done without proper impact studies (i.e. Finch & Jane corridor).
Please do not allow for this "expedited" approval, based solely on federal legislation that seeks to increase the number of homes available in the market. It should not be used as an excuse to build carelessly without the impact to existing developed areas.
